Finally The Sens Can Exhale!

As the off-season progressed the more and more the Ottawa Senators were in a huge and embarrassing situation with Danny Heatley in the middle of it. What Heatley did, will likley haunt him in the future. But on Saturday he got what he wished, a trade out of Ottawa to a Stanley Cup contender, the San Jose Sharks. I personally think that Ottawa got a better deal here, only because they get rid of Mr.Heatley and in return get a 50 plus goal scorer. But, I can only think what Jonathan Cheechoo must be thinking. Will the Senators make the playoffs? I strongly think so, because they did have an excellent off-season, besides the like show put on by Heatley. What didnt surprise me was that at the Senators training camp the players weren"t even sad or emotional about Heatley's departure. If im Heatley right now, I would hope that my target from Ottawa wont follow me to San Jose and that he had better have a great season.

Is Phil Kessel going to the Maple Leafs?

Now, in tis years draft we say an offer between the Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins that included Phil Kessel and Tomas Kaberle. It didnt happen. Is this a thing for the Leafs to do? I sure think so because Brian Burke already signed a big defenseman this off-season from rival montreal so why not give up one of your great stars like the Bruins did with Joe Thornton a couple of years and bring in bigger and better things. Imean look at the Bruins now their contenders from a couple of years ago they were'nt even able to make the playoffs. Coud the leafs makethe post-season this year i dont think so, it will take them at least one more year. Now, if your Burke right now I would trade Kaberle and prey forthe best with Kessel.

Today, a Canuck official told the Canadian Press that "Negotiations are on-going and we are confident we will reach an agreement before training camp". So, as you can see looks like Luongo will stay with the Canucks. For how long and for how much I dont no but, i will assure you that it will be big bucks for the hearth and soul and the Vancouver Canucks.
